I'm still running 5.00 m33-6 and im afraid to update cuz thats how I bricked my psp last time. My question is: If your running an old cfw, can you go straight to the latest one?

Yes. i updated directly from 5.00 m33-6 to 5.50 Gen-A, then to 5.50 U3R-A , no bricking happened for me. The latest one now is either 5.50 Gen-B or 5.50 U3R-B . ask Dev. he's the expert on this.

I cant play online in RR as it is. Thats one of my main reasons for updating.

Yea with 5.50 Gen-B you was able to play RR online but sony patched it. Im still at 5.00 m33-6 waited for a update

lol Dev GEN B hater... and yeah they've just patched RR online... this sucks.
the GEN team has released an update for the GEN B and its GEN B2.
It fixes all the bugs and stuff and the PSN and PSS now works.
Also you will be able to use homebrews but you must download the
homebrews compatible to GEN B. (after updating to GEN B2 ur psp will still stay at GEN B
but it includes the fixing of bugs in the old GEN B.)

first you must have 5.00 then update to GEN A then update
to GEN B then update to GEN B2. Look for links in Youtube(safe) because
some sites host custom frimwares that is not complete which will result to a bricked psp.

and yeah GEN B can now run homebrews so HA! (dev lol )
no offense dev M33 is good but still adding .5 is better.

soap, only reason y ppl like gen i s because it bypasses the psn store required update sht, but i dont play rr so ya,and im a coder and the cheat devices run better on m33, and there is no news dax is coming back, he stopped in march, latly only ancouncements r confirming he stopped, im pretty sure we woudve seen a signof dax, either a new desperta decementario version (mms maker programed by dax) or a update of m33 like atleast a 5.00m33-7 or something

Dev not everyone likes to cheat (no offense i kno you play fair).
Also he wasnt like got caught by the FBI or got hired by Sony so we wouldnt know
if he really did quit from the cfw scene. I think the M33-6 had no bugs and all apps
work on it or can be converted to be compatible to it so i dont think there will
be a significant reason for dax to develop a 7th update.

So you dont play RR anymore but all games that are going to be made from now on
will be requiring a version higher than 5.00 and now, 5.50 cuz 6.00 has just been released.
you cant stay M33 forever. not unless dax makes 6.00 M33 ofcourse

So you can save yourself a few steps in playing 5.55+ games. No more extracting the games eboot, using game decrypter to patch the eboot. Then finally re-building the ISO. None of that is needed anymore, thanks to GENyUS. So delete that Game Decrypter v4 from your hard-drive as you don’t need it anymore. At least for firmware 5.55, 6.00 and 6.10 games.

Never ever install this on a PSP-2000 TA-088v3 or PSP-3000 or you will fully brick your psp.
